Spanish Courses in Nerja
Encircled by rugged mountains to the north and the blue waters
of the medditerranean to the south, Nerja, has a relaxed atmosphere
typical of Andalucia. A rich cultural heritage mixed with all the
trappings of a modern day beach resort makes Nerja an ideal destination
for the young and old alike.
History
Older, whiter and more charming than the towns to the west, Nerja
is a busy tourist town which has grown considerably since the 1960s.
The Balcon de Europa lookout point in the centre of town has good
coastal views and the best beach is Playa Burriana on the east side
of town. The town is located approximately 50 minutes east of Malaga
by bus or car.
Climate
The temperatures normally range from 15°C to 35°C. In Andalucia
there are plenty of warm, sunny days right through winter. However,
in July and August, temperature inland can get unpleasant, unless
you are high enough in the mountains.
